Mendin calls for peace
In observance of International Peace Day, Nimba County Police Commander has called on the citizens of Liberia to be more pragmatic and receptive if the peace of the country should be maintained.
Delivering a special peace message at the Peace Emperor Hotel in Ganta City, Nimba County, on International Peace Day, Assistant Commissioner for Police Laramie Mendin outlined that the peace we Enjoy in the country can only be sustained when citizens stop holding grudges for each other and develop a forgiving mindset.
Mendin further mentioned that to maintain the peace as it has been done over the years, citizens have to put aside their political and religious differences.
He called on Liberians to hold together adding that forgiveness is the key pilot in the substance of peace as no one person is free from error.
The Nimba County Police Commander made the remarks on Saturday during the International Peace Day celebration organized by the Alliance for Peace, Justice, and Human Rights.
