A 24-year-old man has been arrested with a black Glock 9 millimeter pistol along with 66 rounds in the commercial City of Nimba Ganta City in the City View Community.

According to Assistant Commissioner for Police Larmie Mendein, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 6:30 PM.

Mendein further asserted that the suspect is a notorious criminal who has a long standing criminal records and have been arrested on multiple occasions.

During the police probe, suspect Williams admitted that he stole the weapon from a deported Liberian man who he had been living with for the past two weeks.

Williams further told our reporters that he took the firearm to Ganta to sell it for the amount of 550 United States dollars.

Suspect Williams is expected to be taken to the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police in Monrovia for further investigation.

Police Investigation continues as the suspect has been arranged to be taken to Monrovia at the Police Headquarters
