Kickball Federation to induct new leadership in Nimba, as play-offs will be hosted in Ganta.

GANTA CITY- Nimba County commercial City Ganta is expected to experience another sporting event that will attract tons and thousands of sports enthusiasts.
The event, which will be hosted by the Liberia Kickball Federation, will bring together 24 kickball teams from six counties and seven Sub-Association in Liberia. Kickball, as a traditional invention and traditional sport, has over the years improved with the introduction of new rules and amendments.
The game is the second most popular sport in Liberia. The most celebrated sporting event is the National County Sports Meet, which is heavily watched by Liberians at home and abroad.
Ganta will be hosting kickball teams that are seeking qualifications to the first (1st) League in the Kickball cycle and national championship for league Two.
The activities will commence on Friday, October 4, 2024 with the induction of some newly appointed officials in Nimba to steer the affairs of the Federation.
Those to be inducted into the LKF leadership in Nimba include Madison Nyah Yelekpah as Chairman, John Y. Kermah Co-chair for Administration, Nash K. Goll Co-chair for operation, and Prince Garsayne Secretary General LKF Nimba Sub-Association.
The induction ceremony will take place at the Youth Center in Ganta City before the official kick-off of the play-off on Saturday October 5, 2024.
Speaking to reporters, the expected inducted chairman, Yelepah, is calling on sports lovers and authorities of the county to turn out and support the only traditional sports in Liberia.
Teams to participate in the playoff will battle it out for promotion while three teams will qualify. Yelepah will serve as the second Chairman of the Kickball Federation taking over from Mr.
Tony Saye who was inducted into office in 2017. Mr. Yelepah has promised to bring life to the LKF in Nimba.
“We are coming on board to bring out the talent of our sisters who love the kickball game. Some of them can’t play female soccer but can play our traditional game, so we have to motivate them and support them”. Narrated by Madison.
The playoffs will see the conglomeration of Kickball stakeholders from across the country to grace the induction of the new Nimba LKF leadership and the playoff.
